The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is an agency within the judicial branch of government that works to support the state courts on behalf of the Arkansas Supreme Court. The Court Information Systems Division (CIS) is responsible for providing technological support to the state’s courts, making court information available to the public, and developing and implementing online, court-related services. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our software products that support the Arkansas Judiciary. Quality Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the testing of software developed and approval of that software. The court management program will be a cloud-based system.
JOB DUTIES:
- Work on an Agile team that employs Agile Methodology
- Work with the Build-team to develop and integrate the new court management system
- Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing.
- Monitor, optimize, and tune applications and reports for maximum performance.
- Aid in the testing and debugging of new and existing application software.
- Execute tasks conforming to formal techniques, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot user-reported application and report issues.
- Design, execute, and automate tests using Postman for API testing.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Implement and promote test-driven development (TDD) practices within the development team.
- Perform unit testing to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Identify and report defects, track and prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on code quality and testability.
- Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Solution Owners and other team members to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and test automation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience
- Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of DOTNET Core and Entity Framework Core frameworks
- Knowledge of, REACT, Next JS, Material UI
- Knowledge of and experience testing C# programming language, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Knowledge of or experience testing solutions in the cloud
- Knowledge of database systems like Postgres.
- Knowledge of and experience working with version control systems like GIT
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools
- Knowledge of and experience working with the Linux operating system and containers as a system platform
- Knowledge of AWS services
- Knowledge of AWS lambda
- Ability to design and implement automated testing including test driven development.
